I graduated from Champlain College Saint-Lambert with a DEC in Health Sciences. At Champlain, I served two terms as President of the Champlain Student Association. This Fall, I will be studying at Université de Montréal in International Studies. I am passionate about giving back to my community and advocating for vulnerable populations. For the past three years, I have been working as a community engagement facilitator with an HIV/AIDS community home in Montreal. I bring high school students to visit the residents; the goal of these visits is to destigmatize the fear of interacting with people with HIV. Volunteering and giving back to my community were values instilled in me from a very young age. I have volunteered my time for children with physical and intellectual disabilities, elderly people in nursing homes and patients at the Royal Victoria Hospital. I got involved with HPV Awareness because I fundamentally believe that through advocacy of preventive measures and education, more people will take action to learn about the infection and be able to better manage the risk of HPV related cancers. My asset to HPV Awareness is that I am fluent in English, French, Mandarin and Spanish.
